In 2016, the Hobsons Bay Community Fund provided $36,863 to 13 community projects across Hobsons Bay, under the Fair, Inclusive and Vibrant grant categories.

The grants have benefited our Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, migrants and asylum seekers, people with disabilities, and communities at risk of social isolation, as well as providing equal opportunities for youth in education and employment.

HBCF has enabled projects focused on the arts, physical/mental health and wellbeing, positive ageing, access to food and housing security and environmental sustainability.

The grant meant so much to the those who attended. For many of them, the financial tools and resources they received through the program gave them the confidence to understand and manage their own finances better.
