HBCF Emergency Response Appeal 

Hobsons Bay Community Fund (HBCF) has cancelled its major fundraising events for the 2020 due to the COVID-19 crisis, meaning your generous support is more important than ever for the small grassroots community groups we help. 

The popular annual HBCF business lunch, planned for July 19, has now been cancelled, along with our annual golf day. Both these events enable us to raise much needed funds to deliver critical grants to community based organisations through the HBCF Grants Program. 

During the past six years HBCF has provided grants of over $215,000 to the grassroots groups and organisations in our local community that often have no access to funds outside of these grants programs.

In 2019, HBCF delivered a record $40,000 to community organisations. some of these important projects included: 

  • Providing holiday programs for local disadvantaged children;
  • Providing an opportunity for girls to play local cricket;
  • Purchasing kitchen equipment for a meals program for the homeless;
  • Inclusion activities for young people with a disability.   

This can only be achieved through the hard work of our volunteers and supporters like you. Your financial support is vital to ensuring that we can continue to provide support to those in our community who need it most.
